Information Systems & Technology Project & Staff Manager

General Description: 

The Information Systems & Technology Project &Staff Manager will serve as a key coordination point for Information Technologyimplementations, upgrades, maintenance and service with direct supervision ofInformation Technology team members within a growing and innovative CommunityHealth Center. Under the guidance and with the support of the Chief InformationOfficer and other C-Level Executives, the role will provide oversight of staffto ensure project delivery, ongoing maintenance and daily work within the ITand Health IT divisions of the organization. This is a new position createdwithin the organization, which will partner with leadership across the organizationto directly support delivery of projects identified as necessary to meet keystrategic goals established by the Board of Directors and President/CEO. 

Reports to:    Chief Information Officer and C-Level IT Leadership Team

Supervises:    Technicians, Analysts, System Administrators, ManagedServices 

Salary/Status: Exempt 

Hours:            8:30am to 5pm

MinimumRequirements: 

1. Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalentindustry-specific certifications and related work experience are required 

2. 7+ years of work history within the IT field, 3+ yearsof staff supervision or leadership, preferably within a healthcare and/ornon-profit setting 

3. PMP certification and/or demonstrated very strong trackrecord in successful project execution, preferably with an Agile project managementfocus 

4.Demonstrated success in delivering multiple large-scale technology implementationssimultaneously that meet key performance indicators outlined at project onsetby stakeholders

5.Knowledge of contracting, budgeting and managing outsourced resources to theirfullest service level 

6.Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 

7. Ability to lead equitably and by influence, having aclearly developed leadership philosophy that aligns with the overall organizationalculture 

8. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.Excellent written and verbal communication 

9.Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills 

10. Abilityto lead and teach others 

11.Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT developments

PrincipleResponsibilities and Duties: 

1. Under the guidance and with the support of the ChiefInformation Officer, directly supervise IT staff members and vendors throughproject management to implement, deliver and maintain a best in class ITinfrastructure, application layer and service desk 

2.Manage Policy and Procedure Framework for: 

           a) Infrastructure upgrades and hardware/software life cyclemanagement and budgeting

           b) IT Service Management 

           c) End UserSystems & Technology Training 

           d) RiskManagement and Business Continuity, Contingency Procedures 

           e) Technology and Systems Project Requests - TechnologyOperational and Capital Budgets 

3. Work with the C-Level IT Leadership Team to determineproject budget, timeline and measures of success, and then drive implementationof each project on time and in budget 

4. Create and publish project plans, delegate deliverablesand coordinate multiple, cross functional project teams through weekly sprints,huddles or other communication touch points to ensure timely and effectivedelivery of projects as assigned 

5. Lead IT and cross functional project teams throughinfluence and investment in project success, utilizing project resourcesfrugally and in a way that fosters professional growth and development for eachproject participant 

6. Directly supervise IT staff in time and reporting,performance evaluations and opportunities for career development throughongoing and annual reviews 

7. Serve as an integral planner in the project managementoffice and ensure delivery of IS/IT specific milestones within broaderorganizational projects 

WorkingConditions 

1.From time to time, this position requires the ability to work long and arduoushours. 

2. Position requires prolongedperiods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer; ability to stand forprolonged periods of time; ability to perform moderate activities such asclimbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds attimes; and potential exposure to adverse outdoor environmental conditions.
